Introduction

SchemaLens ("we", "our", "us") provides PostgreSQL schema version control through a CLI tool and web dashboard. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.

Information We Collect

Account Data

When you sign up, we collect your email address and basic profile information through GitHub OAuth via Supabase Authentication. We do not store your GitHub password.

Schema Snapshots

SchemaLens stores your PostgreSQL schema metadata (DDL definitions) including tables, functions, policies, triggers, and other database objects. We store only the schema structure — never your actual row data or database contents.

Usage Data

We collect basic usage analytics such as page views, feature usage, and error logs to improve the service. This data is aggregated and not linked to individual schema content.

How We Use Your Data

  • To provide schema version control, diffing, and deployment features
  • To authenticate your identity and secure your account
  • To improve the reliability and performance of our services
  • To communicate service updates, security notices, and billing information

Third-Party Services

We use the following services:

  • Supabase — authentication and database hosting
  • Vercel — web application hosting and serverless functions
  • GitHub — OAuth authentication and optional repository integration

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

Data Retention

Your schema snapshots and account data are retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data — including schema snapshots, project configurations, and personal information — is permanently deleted within 30 days.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access and view all data we store about you
  • Export your schema snapshots and project data
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Withdraw consent for optional data processing
